The Office of News and Media Relations at Stevens engages, shares and promotes the many faces of Stevens to internal and external audiences. We write, collect and distribute Stevens news, profiles, press releases, blogs and multimedia for the University news website and homepage and within regional, national and international print, broadcast and online media. We interview and film sources, write articles, conduct media training and media outreach and maintain Stevens Experts profiles.
Our services have supported scores of important Stevens initiatives by promoting the major news, achievements, research, events and thought leadership from across the Stevens community.
Media Relations - We position Stevens professors and thought leaders as "experts" in the news through individual targeting and Stevens Experts pages. We also conduct media training and provide public relations and communications support for university-wide projects.
Multimedia - We produce professional-quality video and photography content for Stevens-wide communications.
Press Releases and Media Advisories - We have the tools to share Stevens news with thousands of journalists worldwide.
NewsPoints Newsletter - We deliver a monthly round-up of Stevens' top news stories, media coverage and multimedia content directly to your inbox.
Social Media - We share the voice of Stevens on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Michael Schinelli - Assistant Vice President for Marketing & Communications
Michael leads multi-channel integrated marketing and brand positioning, University public relations and development communications for Stevens. He is responsible for defining and interpreting the University's unique brand attributes, growing brand awareness, and communicating Stevens' value across all internal and external audiences worldwide.
Laura Bubeck - Assistant Director of News & Media Relations
Laura is responsible for written news and public relations content generation for Stevens’ news website, as well as the cultivation of story leads. She also manages the University’s main social media channels.
Meagen Henning - Assistant for Marketing & Media Relations
Meagen manages the office's day to day operations including organizing and coordinating both marketing and media relations projects. She assists with media research, content, media expert requests, as well as tracking and categorizing all news clips regarding the Stevens community. Meagen also is the first point of contact for film/print location booking opportunities.
Michael Hofmann - Interactive Web Designer
Michael designs and develops web sites for the University Administration & Enrollment division. He also is responsible for art direction and design of marketing projects.
Julio Macavilca - Lead Developer
Julio handles administration of the departmental websites under the University Administration & Enrollment division as well as develops applications and ongoing maintenance of the University News and Media Relations portal. He is the lead technical contact in the implementation of marketing strategies and University website.
Christopher Robinson - Director of Multimedia
Christopher handles the design and deployment of multimedia assets for online news and communications operations. He develops tangible media assets and plans, produces and packages a wide range of content with a focus on video production and editing.
Danielle Woodruffe - Director of News & Media Relations
Danielle leads public relations strategies and campaigns for Stevens. She is the first point of contact for media wishing to speak with a member of the Stevens community. She manages communications efforts including media relations to increase the University’s overall brand awareness.
