This talk 1) reviews security issues in the area of mobile advertising, 2) focuses on what is distinctive about mobile privacy, mobile malvertising, and mobile click fraud as compared to their non-mobile counterparts, and 3) discusses open problems/issues in the area of secure mobile advertising.
Biography:
Neil Daswani is currently an engineering manager at Twitter and was formerly the CTO of Dasient, Inc. prior to its acquisition by Twitter. Neil has served in a variety of research, development, teaching, and managerial roles at Google, Stanford University, DoCoMo USA Labs, Yodlee, and Bellcore (now Telcordia Technologies). While at Stanford, Neil co-founded the Stanford Center for Professional Development Software Security Certification Program, and he is the lead author of "Foundations of Security: What Every Programmer Needs To Know." He holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BS in Computer Science from Columbia University. For more information please contact:
