Biomedical Engineering Students Take First Place at National Poster Competition

A team of biomedical engineering students from the Stevens Institute of Technology was recently awarded first place in a poster competition at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). Aaron Rella, a 2009 graduate of the Biomedical Engineering program, presented the poster on behalf of senior design teammates Jenifer McGuire, Katherine Reighard, and Mariel Menafra.

Andrew Kruegel wins Novartis Scholarship

Andrew Kruegel, a senior in the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology and Biomedical Engineering, was selected by the Independent College Fund of New Jersey to receive a Novartis Scholarship. Professors Yu and Liang Gain NIH Support

Professors Xiaojun Yu and James Liang in the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Biomedical Engineering were each awarded NIH grants for a combined total of $650,000 in funding over the next two years from the National Institutes of Health.
