SPOC Inc. Product Featured in National Publication

SPOC Inc., a company born from a Stevens Institute of Technology biomedical engineering senior design project, was featured in the July 28th issue of ADVANCE Magazine for Physical Therapist and PT Assistants. ADVANCE has a circulation of 85,000 physical therapy professionals nationwide. The two page article re-counted the history of SPOC (which stands for Steven’s Proof of Concept), and it’s three student founders, Jeckin Shah, Ryan Stellar, and Dan Silva. SPOC CEO and Stevens Industry Professor, Vikki Hazelwood, guided the design effort at Stevens in collaboration with Dr. Norman J. Marcus, MD, of the New York University School of Medicine. SPOC Inc.’s lead product is a muscle pain locator device that recently won Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510K clearance for manufacture and marketing as a clinical device.
