The work of Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Biomedical Engineering Professor Svetlana A. Sukhishvili was featured at the 236th Annual National Meeting of the American Chemical Society. Dr. Sukhishvili delivered two invited symposium presentations entitled, “Nanoparticle-functionalized substrates and fibers for ultrasensitive SERS-based sensing” and “Control of pH response and permeability of polymer multilayer films and capsules.” These talks, in addition to five poster presentations, described Dr. Sukhishvili’s cutting edge research in nanotechnology and polymer science. Stevens co-authors on the talks and posters included Professors Henry Du and Matthew Libera, graduate students Svetlana Pavlukhina, Irem Erel Unal, Zhichen Zhu, Li Xu, Qichen Wang, and Melek Erol, and former graduate student Dr. Veronika Kozlovskaya. Dr. Sukhishvili is currently on sabbatical at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
