Professor Yu Receives Research Support from the AO Foundation

Professor Xiaojun Yu in the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Biomedical Engineering received a research award from the AO Research Fund to support his research on biphasic constructs for spinal fusion. Dr. Yu's project focuses on design, fabrication, and characterization of a polymeric scaffold that will enhance bone growth. The AO Research Fund carries out the research mission of the AO Foundation of Davos Platz, Switzerland, to support basic scientific, pre-clinical and clinical research in all areas of trauma, surgery of the musculoskeletal system and related problems.
