Professors Xiaojun Yu and James Liang in the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Biomedical Engineering were each awarded NIH grants for a combined total of $650,000 in funding over the next two years from the National Institutes of Health.

Prof. Yu will study “Nanofiber based artificial nerve graft for peripheral nerve regeneration,” and Dr. Liang will study “Biofilm growth on functionalized surfaces.”
