Kate Fried and her teammates - Esther Rodriguez, Megan Calderia, and Rachel Ostroff - won 1st place in the International ISPE student design contest held in Las Vegas from Nov 4 to Nov 7, 2007.
Representing the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Stevens Institute of Technology in the contest, Kate's team is now in the process of completing a provisional patent filing on her project,which novelties entail a technology to visualize breast cancer more accurately and in 3-dimensions.
