General Information

He is also President of Controlamatics Corporation in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, specializing in Process Control Systems Engineering.

Dino Favetta has successfully engineered solutions for various clients with difficult control needs requiring utilization of various engineering backgrounds simultaneously.

Various solutions include the use of Rule-Based Real-Time Expert System Technology to manage and control major portions of the New York City power grid, atmosphere control for destructive flame test chambers applied to International Space Station materials testing, non-contact Infrared Thermal Inference Control of continuous product drying uniformity.

Prior to forming Controlamatics Corporation Mr. Favetta was a Control Applications Engineer with Exxon Chemical Company, Central Engineering Department in Florham Park, New Jersey, where he served in various roles in global support of projects.  In that role, Mr. Favetta was involved in a myriad of projects, studies, research and development of applications including extrusion control in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Favetta attended Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he simultaneously received a degree of Bachelor of Engineering - Chemical Engineering and a degree of Master of Engineering –Electrical Engineering in 1980 in four years.

Mr. Favetta was also elected by his peers as President of the America Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Student Chapter while at Steven Institute of Technology.

While at Stevens Institute of Technology Mr. Favetta contributed to the Institute by successfully implementing the first Chemical Process Simulator on the Campus Computer System for student use.  CHESS – Chemical Engineering Simulation System, a modular unit operations based steady state tool was  used by students to model chemical processes.

While at Stevens Institute of Technology Mr. Favetta developed and implemented microprocessor based control of a Picker X-Ray diffractometer for data collection of crystal reciprocal space diffraction data stream to supply ORTEP molecular modeling graphical tool.
