A treatment of polymer processing machinery with emphasis   on the design of components to implement the various elementary steps   involved, and subsequent assembly of these components into processing machines.   Use is made of computational models.  Principles of control systems are   applied to processing machinery.  The primary objective is to stimulate creative   approaches to the design of processing machinery rather than to familiarize   the student with the details of existing machinery.
